Hi all--

I'm new to the forum, and I just picked up a trapdoor Gibson UB banjo ukulele (or uke banjo in Gibson's parlance). I just put a new head on it, as the last person to play it apparently tried installing a calfskin head without a flesh hoop. The bridge is also not the original. It's a garden variety 5/8" Grover three leg. Does anyone know what kind of bridge came with these originally? From the pictures I can find it looks like the two-legged Leader style bridges are pretty common. Also, is 5/8" the right height? I'm pretty sure it is, as the action isn't a full 1/16" higher than it ought to be, but I've seen some references to 1/2" bridges on Gibson uke banjos.

Anyhow, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
