I'm trying to track down a couple buzzes on two ukes, one is a Kala K-ac and the other is Ohana tenor. The tenor I can't figure out so I'm going to take it to a local luthier, but the kala when I was changing the strings I noticed the saddle was very loose as in not glued in, it fell out and now is just held in by string tension, is this normal? Or should I try and lightly glue it down. I'm guessing both of the buzzes developed from humidity problems as they came from MGM in perfect condition 6 months ago. I asked the local uke shop if I needed to humidify they said no(seattle) anyway when the first buzz developed I bought some humidifiers but the damage was already done. The kala the c and e strings buzz open, on the Ohana, the gstring buzzes on the first couple frets but not open. I think that one has to do with the nut as the wound strings sits higher than the rest. anyways if anyone can point me the right way on the saddle, it would be appreciated.
