In November of 2013, I acquired this banjo ukulele and had it restored by professional luthier. Basically the resonator had a large crack and the blocks that the banjo pot sat on required re-gluing. The luthier did an extraordinary job. He was able to carve a custom nut from TUSQ material, retain the skin that was on the uke, at the time I acquired it, and install new Aquilla strings and Grover Friction tuners, and able to keep the original bridge and tailpiece.

As far as the maker goes, I called upon the UU faithful, via this forum http://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/showthread.php?91196-Help-with-banjo-ukulele-identification

User Justinlcecil provided his knowledge about the Banjo Ukulele probably being made by W. M. Lange, but noted that the headstock was slightly different from others he had seen.

Ok, now to the price.

I am looking to sell my banjo uke with its case for $470 with CONUS shipping.

I only do sales via Paypal. What I ask is that if you are seriously interested, send me a message with your email address and I will send you an Payapl Invoice. I will ship the banjo ukulele within 3 business days of receiving your payment and I will provide a tracking number.

I am not interested in trades at this time. Check out the pictures, Enjoy!!!

Your banjo uke was indeed made by W Lange for the Sears co and was marketed as a Sears Supertone, probably 1920's to 1930's.
Best of luck with the sale.
PS your sound sample link does not work for me.
