Hi fellow ukers,
we recently did an acoustic version of Frank Zappa's "Black Napkins".
Our drummer always wished to play this song, and although I refused for nearly two years because I had no idea how to play an great ol' jazz rock p*** on a ukulele, I did him a favor and worked it out - and immediately I fell in love with the sweet little melody
The drummer played also vibes, my hubby, who normally plays the ubass, went to the piano (a real one, not electronic) and double bass, uke and vocals remained for me.
I nearly laughed my ass off when I discovered that there are some Black Napkins lyrics in the www, consisting of several lines of "weeee-oohhs"
So I did some banshee-like vocals with a lot of wee-oohs...light an incense stick, a candle and whatever you like and relax, I hope you enjoy
Cheers,
Kiki
