Just got this built by Phil Cartwright from the UK. It's his model based on the Abbott design. Strings are still settling in but I thought I'd do a video anyway . The tune is 'Happy Feet'. G
DANG. Fantastic, George. Great split stroke and really grand 32nd notes. This one of those occasions when the quality of the uke and player match perfectly. Quite inspiring!!
You raise a good point! People always tell me they're interested in new, and they ask if Eddy Finn or Gold Tone are good. They're ok, but nothing like Cartwrights.

Yeah I have one of those Gold Tone ukes, It's ok but it simply cannot compare to the Cartwright. In fact it's terrible how little choice there is for good commercially available banjo ukes. For getting a great banjo uke the options are either waiting for a vintage one to come up on ebay or getting one custom built for you. Wendall Hall ukes have gone crazy in price lately.
