hey gabe welcome to the forum! as soon as you join you are a junior member, as you can see. once you hit 30 posts you become a member and 100 posts gets you to the senior level. it's all in the number of posts!

Man...if I continue at this rate, it's going to take me 2.5 more years to become a ukulele hero! Then again, if the forums keep growing as they have, there will be increasingly more threads for me to post on...and my post rate will increase...and maybe it'll only take 2 years. Haha. Or I can just learn to post one lined witty comments like Deach.

Deach must be smarter than Einstein...

Einstein needed an assistant to tell him which train to get on, what time it was, and he had five different versions of the same suit because really didn't understand how to pick out clothes. When Einstein was a kid everyone thought he was retarded, as an adult he invented nukes! Not smart. Oh and Alfred Nobel, the dude the Nobel prize is named after, he invented dynamite. Again, not smart.

Ukes are smart, nukes are dumb.

(What thread is this again?)

If you are as intelligent as Einstein, there are some other things you won't be able to do. That's life. Our brains use their resources to let us live a "normal" life in this world, which is extremely hard work. the brains of savantes and geniuses are lacking a few important barriers and are unable to get them living the "normal" life. but therefore their resources are used for something else. some are able to learn piano in one night, others can remember the weather of every single day in there life... this list is endless. you can not say Einstein wasn't smart. he was just too smart to live the life we're living. plus he didn't invent the nuke. only the idea (and that only to stop the WWII, btw who used that nuke again against thousands of civil people? just a thought). what he invented was the most incredible theory in physics ever.

and nobel, well, at least he got a guilty conscience. he fell in love with a woman who was fighting for peace. so he used his money to create a prize for the best ideas in terms of science and peace. which was a good idea. and dynamite is not just a weapon. without that the world as we lnow it wouldn't be possible.

being intelligent doesn't always mean to use this intelligence for peace. which is a pity but oh so true.

i'll spill the beans, the secret handshake is nothing more than "eskimo kisses".

this is my 100th post so i'm officially a senior member does that mean i get an eskimo kiss?
(by the way i've contacted the inuit council of eskimo kisses and apparently these aren't legitimate eskimo kisses, so don't be fooled by promises of fake eskimo kisses)

Whats the difference between members junior members and senior members
The letters "J-U-N" versus the letters "S-E-N."

Both come from the Latin.

Junior means "younger." (comparative of juvenis, meaning young)

It also means inferior and of lower rank.

Senior means "elder." (more properly older; the comparative form of senex, meaning old).

It also means superior and of higher rank.

So we're superior and you're inferior. You do as you're told until you graduate into a senior. It's kind of like being in a fraternity, without the beer. In the meantime, you have to send every senior on the forum a ukulele or you'll be kicked out of the frat house. And you'll be graded on spelling and grammar, too.

Hope that helps.
