I have to admit I'm not into the special care that solid wood ukes require. Another reason to love the Fluke. I live in a very low humidity area near the desert. I was wondering how Bamboo ukes would handle low humidity or do they have the same issues that solid wood does?

Thanks, I also just read cracking is not completely unusual. I'll stick to the laminates until my playing is worthy of something resembling your signature.

I don't have a problem with humidity levels but I do love buying sustainable materials. I have never heard or played a bamboo string instrument but I would definitely consider bamboo if it sounded as good as my aged solid woods. If it didn't it would be a deal breaker. I do try to buy as many products in bamboo as I can. I love the look.
