I took the plunge! Here is my new baby, circa 1942--and oh she sounds sweet!

The fourth picture is close to her true color, a medium dark mahogany with lots of coppery highlights.

Many thanks to those UUers who took the time to give me advice and encouragement regarding vintage ukes--muchly appreciated! :)

Congratulations! You'll love it!

Congratulations! Another victim of vintage bell-like, full and rich plinkiness. Seriously, these are, in my opinion, the gold standard for soprano ukuleles. I'm sure you'll love it.

Congrat's! Looks really nice...I have those tuners, they work fine.

Very nice! Congrats.

I would love to hear a sound sample of it.

I did record a song--but the microphone on my computer smothered almost everything. Someday when I get a real mic...Till then, you'll have to trust me that it has a rich plinky old-time voice. :)

Geez, that's gorgeous! Hope you have a lot of fun with it.
