View Full Version : Paco de Lucia and Al di Meola's "Mediterranean Sundance" for solo ukulele

I just learned Paco de Lucia died yesterday. I learned of him the way many of us did - through his duet with Al di Meola on "Mediterranean Sundance." The Album it appeared on, Elegant Gypsy, was such a game changer for me and so many people who grew up with that album - and that tune was the centerpiece of that work.

Last year I started working out a solo uke version of that classic, and I thought I would share it now:

Oh Man..... I have to keep up with the news. Paco inspired me to attempt flamenco, and made it look easy. Bravo....

RIP Paco
DiMeola did a wonderful concert at Montreux in 1994 with Jean Luc Ponty and Stanley Clarke - it was amazing.
