Hey, that's my uke! I agree with pretty much everything you wrote. I too find the handling noise somewhat bothersome trying to record straight into an audio interface to the PC. I've used the uke in several projects so far but do have to be very careful with scrapes and even the strap rubbing around. Other than that, I've been happy with it.
 
Hi Jim - yeah I really like it, but can't get past the pickup. For the stuff our band play, I would be standing, with strap and moving about a fair bit and it just wouldn't work. As such, I wish it was an under saddle.

Love it acoustically - really comfortable, but I wouldn't pay the price it is listed for - remove the pickup and cut the price and I would be sold (or improve the pickup)
 
I hear ya. I don't gig so it is useable for me. When I got it last year it was the cheapest tenor with any kind of pickup and Mim gave it a great setup, so all in all, $200 was a good value.
