Selling this beautiful and unique instrument in the wake of several recent purchases.
This ukulele is made entirely of aged salvaged woods. The back and sides are both hickory, and the top is red spruce, both of which come from 100 year old pianos. The brazilian rosewood "golpe (tap) plate" and headstock veneer were taken from a 1870's player piano veneer. The rosette is composed of maple, brazilian rosewood, and cherry, all of which also came from pianos.
I've owned this uke for just under 12 months. It is lightly used. The uke is in wonderful condition, save for some light strumwear on the tap plate.
Bought for 1499. Asking $995 shipped to anywhere and will include a hardcase.
More detailed photographs here.
