The uke Tiny Tim played in the "Tiptoe Though T Tulips" video is it an old Martin or Gibson? Anyone know?

I'd like a uke like this without spending a fortune.Are the Hamano soprano ukes similar to this(in look and sound)?

I can't say what the one in the video was, but Tiny Tim's most favoritest uke was his 1930 model 1.

Ok,thanks.I will have to look for a picture of one online.Was his model 1 a soprano?

Yes, it was a soprano.

My guess is that he used the model 1 in his performances, hence the quiver of jubilation as he gently removes it from its case. The Martin S-O can be purchased for around $300 from any Guitar Center or Sam Ashe music stores. You could probably get a used Martin S-O just by posting a WANTED notice in the marketplace section on this forum!

The Martin model 1, I have seen used ones sell for $500.
