Hi, all.

I hope you're well. I've recently decided to take my songwriting more seriously, and as such I'd be very grateful if you could take a listen to some of the music on my Facebook band page, and possibly give it a like.

Thanks!

Hi Casey,

I can not use facebook, is there another place to hear your music? soundcloud? bandcamp? cdbaby? reverbnation? or similar

As a fellow songwriter, I am very excited for you, and cant wait to hear what you've created :)

Hey, Booli.

Sorry - I can't believe I made the mistake that I used to hate before I fell into the Facebook trap.

For now (until June-ish) you can hear some of my most recent offerings here:

I'll probably migrate it all over to Reverbnation at some point. Don't really like using Soundcloud because of the time constraints.

Thanks for your interest!

Hi Casey,

Yeah, Facebook is like the gateway drug to all those smartphone apps that really don't do much but steal time away from uking!

I dont use twitter or as I call it 'bookface' and some call it 'twitface', and the ONLY reason I have Google+ is for commenting on videos with fellow UU members, whom I've added as friends on Google+, but I use that for nothing else, since Google build a profile on you to sell to advertisers (remember, if the 'service' is free, then YOU are the product being sold [to advertisers])

Thanks for the link. I was just checking out your songs there. I am very impressed. You are quite the lyricist - I had no idea! and your collaborations are great. Seems like a good group of fellow musicians on that site. And WOW can you play and sing! It seems like those songs are more polished that your Seasons entries and it really shows.

I have not listened to all of the songs yet, but kudos to you for putting that out there...a big step, I'm sure....

I am also soon to put my music online, and have been looking at Broadjam, CDBaby, Bandcamp, TuneCore, DiscMakers and a few others (sorry, I can't remember them all right now).

Broadjam is interesting because it provides you a way to get your music out front with movie/tv/advert/videogame producers who might want to license your music, which is nice because it provides licensing and royalty income if another artist records your song.

Another thing they offer is the option to submit your songs to music industry pros who will give you real feedback.

They also offer the whole package of hosting with your own domain, and all the streaming so you dont need to have a second service for that. I dont remember if they also get your music on iTunes and Amazon, but those are a must for me when the time comes...

I have no connection with them, but I have been looking into all this for over a year now...

Keep in touch and let us know how it goes, I'm sure others here on UU would love to support your music...
