Hi everyone! Opinions: Tanglewood TU9 with EQ

Hi everyone, I'm from South Africa and new to the forum. I've been playing for 5 months now on a $60 ($60 here) Chord CU-21 soprano and am looking for a upgrade to a concert ukulele. There isn't a big variety here. so

I bought one and was over the moon whe4 it came. It was far more beautiful in person than in the photos... BUT... you knew one was coming, didn't you? The electrics buzzed like crazy and I sent it back. Sadly, it was the last one they had in stock, so they refunded me. I may have just been unlucky, I'll never know. Acoustically, it sounded fine - quite well balanced for an instrument in that price range. But I wanted one with a pick up for gigs, so back it went .

Thank you for the reply, I think I'll just have to play it myself, plug it into an amp and hope you had a defect.
