I apologize in advance if this has already been asked here but I was wondering if anybody can tell me where to find a quality (baritone) already slotted/fretted fretboard?? Or even a blank -with frets already cut but without fret wire installed?? As I mentioned before I need help with the technical/musical side of making instruments. Any help would be much appreciated!

Kevin- what do you charge for a fretting template at 23" scale ?

What would the pro/cons between the two scales? Or is it just preference?

Beau,

Here are the fret scale templates..... http://www.waldronmusic.com/product...d+Notched+Const.+Template+Tenor+Guitar&cat=50

Jermlilly,

Probably more a preference of neck and break point at the neck and where you want the bridge as much as anything.... our Martin style baritone scales are typically 20.125" for us anyway. If you had a baritone uke banjo.. scale could be 19" or anywhere in between that and 21". If you work the math you can make almost any scale work provided the strings will perform given the length and diameter .... some lengths tend to stay in tune easier and the intonation for various frets works better at some scale than others....... Not sure there is a right or wrong......most players can't tell the difference within 1" +/- of what they are use to playing. ( If my figures are correct Bob's mm are short and long of the 20.125" but shouldn't matter.... Bob's scales will be fine...... ) Here are the fret scale templates we make if you decide to make your own..... http://www.waldronmusic.com/product...ret+Bd+Notched+Const.+Template+Ukulele&cat=50

Blessings,

Kevin

Cool. That makes sense. Appreciate all the info. Do you guys know whether ebony or rosewood is easier to inlay in?
