I'm planning a road trip in a few months that starts in Southern Indiana and has stops in Asheville NC, Charleston SC, Greensboro, NC and back to Indiana. Are there any must see ukulele related stops I should consider?

Nope... I didn't get any responses so I my vacation was pretty much uke-free.

I'm bummed to hear that. I have lots of good leads on yarn and craft things to see and do, and even food places to go, but no music.
