I have been making dovetail necks with a 20 degree angle and .5" depth. What angle and depth do you use? It seems that a lesser angle might wedge tighter. What do you think?

On Soprano's I also use 20 degrees..but on tenors I use a lesser angle about 17 degrees..the lesser angle is easier to fit co's you don't have to sand away as much material from the flanks to make a good fit.

I am about to make new dovetail routing templates. I will try 16 degrees on my tenors. Thanks.
