I got my beloved David Newton Soprano a month or so ago, but have been too busy to post until now. This stunning soprano has pernambuco back, sides, neck, fretboard, and bridge with a flamed mahogany top and peg head veneer. Ebony pegs, nut, and saddle. Designed with a Martin Style 0 in mind. Finished with David's famous french polish. It sounds similar to my 30's Martin but with a more rounded tone in the upper register. Very bell like. It has a very slim neck that is really easy to play. I will post a sound sample when I get the confidence to play something for y'all.

Congratulations! It's a great looking ukulele. Would love to hear it.

Really classic/classy looking!

Very nice! Love that top!

David builds a mean uke. Just realized the other day that I received my Newton tenor one year ago. I've played the heck out of it. You are correct in pointing out that his french polish is amazing. I play a fair amount of claw hammer and my other ukes show a lot of wear. The Newton still looks brand new. Love that you went with the wood friction pegs. The pernambuco looks incredible. Also like that gator case. Enjoy.
