values for tone pot and cap

i bought a piezo pickup, end pin jack and 500 KOhm volume pot does any one know what specs i am looking for if i want to add a tone pot (and capacitor).

well actually i bought those parts listed above from cbgitty.com as a package deal and they said that they dont sell a tone pot that will work with it

Audio pots for volume and linear pots for tone. .022U or .047U capacitor will work fine. .047U will sound a bit darker than the .022. I like the .047 on shorter scale instruments and .022 on larger. Nice thing is they are easy to swap in and out to see what you like. Do you have an onboard preamp?
