Hi Everyone! I finally finished my first build and have been playing it all time! It's a Stew Mac kit that I added a few modifications to: carved the headstock, opened up the fretboard and inlayed a really neat piece of vintage marquetry, then upgraded the rosette to MOP and the tuners to Grovers...the soundboard art is wood stains and a bit of paint and it's strung with Oasis warms...
I had a blast working on this, so if anyone is considering trying the kit-do it!!! But be sure to get the DVD!
A special thankyou to Chuck Moore for his advice on spraying finish!
My friends at my local meetups here in sunny Florida told me I did an excellent job and made a really sweet sounding uke! I'm looking at wood for my next one!
Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Nancy

Thanks so much Chuck! I'm going to experiment with more inlay for the next one! Feels nice to break out all my old woodworking tools!

Congrats Nancy!- the first one is always a delight :)

Congratulations Nancy. Very cool! So, what's next??? LOL

Thank you all sooooo much! I'm finding this to be a great way to cure a bad case of UAS! I think I'm going to make a Concert next!
