Different sources say different things - any insight for me?

3121 - 0121 adds a G which would be like a flat second...maybe someone meant x121? Also, I usually play an F# as a barre, makes it easier.

0121 (assuming your are starting from the G string and working your way down) would be an A13b9 or some other inversion of a jazzy chord. X121 would be an F# major chord just as 3121. The A# note (the "3" on the G string) is redundant of the "1" on the A string, so the chord is the same with or without it.

Just tried it as a barre- MUCH easier! Thank you! And yes, it DID say x121.
