SOLD, THANKS!
Hello UU! I'm glad to be back with a new offering here.

New Diaz Concert ( 14-3/4 ) scale, Koa Body with Spanish Cedar neck, Pernambuco fret board & bridge. Waverly friction tuners w/Koa buttons. Ebony nut & saddle. French Polish shellac finish. Worth clear strings. The tone & volume is open & very classic uke sounding.

Sorry, no.
It isn't that I wouldn't love to ship 'em, it is just a pile of government red tape to do it legally, and I try to stay legal.

I love the simple beauty of your instruments. Fantastic work!

Sorry, I don't have a sound file.
I'm a really good uke maker, but I'm embarrassed at how poorly I play.
So I spend my time building instead of playing.

The problem I have with exporting is US law.

What is it about your uke that is a problem with shipping to Australia? Just curious.

This is from Griffin Exotic Wood's site:

"The following items cannot be shipped outside the USA:

Brazilian Rosewood
Argentine lignum (sometimes called lignum vitae but is not)
Bois de rose and anything else from Madagascar
Cocobolo from Guatamala or Panama
Spanish Cedar
Aloeswood or Agarwood, rule could change in future to 1 kg allowed, check with us
Pernambuco
Lignum Vitae (genuine)
Logs with bark
Burls with bark/natural edge"

This ukulele has both Pernambuco and Spanish Cedar.

Thanks for the info. I don't use those materials for ukes but have shipped many ukes over seas and have NEVER had a boxed open for any reason during shipping.

I don't think my "for sale" thread is the proper place to discuss the US regulations that I feel are restricting the honest pursuit of my profession.
