Vintage Ka-Lai / Kamaka ukulele 1930s/40s - $350

Ka-Lai/Ka-Lae solid koa uke from the 1930s/40s. Soprano size with new strings. These were made in Hawaii at the Kamaka factory for Johnny Lai. Most Ka-Lai ukes are pineapple-shaped so this is a very unusual one. The neck and sides of this uke are carved from a single piece of koa which is a true rarity. It has an "Aloha Hawaii" sticker on the headstock that is peeling away. No identification of the maker. I had to do a bit of research on this one to find out. Plays great and has a nice mellow tone. One tuner has a chip on the handle but it still works fine. $350 shipped

For some reason my pics aren't showing and it won't let me attach new ones so please use the link below to view pics.
