suggestions for paint to be applied to a fluke, i'm gonna give myself a flamejob and i want it to stick

I used Rustoleum spray paint for my Flea. Worked fine, but would show minor scratching from strumming. A clear coat sealant spray might have helped. If you stencil your flames with tape, spray paint works.

A friend recommends 'nitrocellulose lacquer' - well above my head

I have painted mine three times. You need to sand it down some. To much paint will change the sound allot. Regular lacquer scratches easily I found that a satin finish doesn't show scratches as much

I printed graphics on a water-slide decal and used that instead of paint on my Fluke. A little finicky to apply, but holds well and looks good (to my eyes, anyway).

if you are painting the plastic back part, try the krylon fusion spray paint. that stuff sticks to plastic like a bitbull on a toddler.

believe it or not, this bike used to be YELLOW...
