The Second Annual Sebastopol Ukulele Festival takes place on Satruday May 10 in, well, Sebastopol.

Did anyone go to last year's festival? I'm thinking of driving up from San Francisco and I was curious about what the First Annual Sebastopol Ukulele Festival was like. This year, Ralph Shaw will be leading a workshop and performing.

Hah, my old home town. It was apples when I lived there, now it's ukes. That's terrific. Wish I had known about it earlier.

Still apples, too. For the last few years, a friend and I have cycled the metric century (~65 mile) distance in a bicycle ride called the Tour d'Organics, which begins and ends at the Sebastopol Community Center. We stop at different local organic farms and get fed mostly locally-grown food. Best organic apples (and some pears, too) I've eaten.

If I go to the festival on Saturday, I'll report back. Maybe you could come to the Third Annual.
