Does anyone know the price range of a Jazzbox archtop Uke by Toby Chennel? I have an email to him but no response yet and his site doesn't show prices.

Would possibly be interested in a used one, Preferably a tenor or Baritone.

Used one sold recently for about $800 http://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/showthread.php?89869-FS-Toby-Chennell-Jazzbox-Archtop-Concert-Ukulele
And one for $950 http://forum.ukuleleunderground.com/showthread.php?85853-Chennell-Jazzbox-Tenor-quot-Ardilla-quot

So I'm going to make a total guess at $1200 to start

Thanks Jim. I really like the style and radiused fretboard. Any idea of the playability and sound?

Not me. I only know what I've seen here. I do agree they look very nice.

I have one on order, there is about a 4 month waiting list.
Lots of new pics on his Facebook page, check out his workshop photos, it shows just how these amazing instruments are put together.

You will get an answer to your mail but it can take weeks

Anyway he will send you an option's list & prices but each instrument can be designed to your liking & specification.
I have ordered a narrow nut for instance, truss rod & X bracing on my baritone, so I can use steel strings, plus I have ordered a lovely period case.
I am not going to quote prices but I can say that compared to other hand made instruments the prices are extremely good :)

Hot diggidy dog, just what I was looking for; a steel string baritone. This made my day for sure.

LOL that is what I thought when I found out too!
I have gone for a multi piece queen back in mahogany & zebra wood, zebra wood sides, all bindings, and trims in ebony, ebony fret board zebra wood head, mahogany neck... not decided on the soundboard as yet.. only about 8 weeks before the build starts & then another 4 weeks build time!!! like a child at Christmas I am :)
