Wow, this appears to be one of those "original" design Eleukes with the tree-of-life inlay and passive pickup.

Made in Korea?

Where are the tone and volume controls located? I can't see any on it.

Receipt says it was purchased in 2007 if that helps. It was purchased in Hawaii, but I can not find a country of manufacture. And yes...passive pickup, so the tone and volume controls are on your amp!

If it is the passive system, then it is most likely to be the early "Made in Korea" models.
These were the times when Eleukes were high quality instruments.

Seems the owner kept the original black Hilo strings too.

It all went downhill after they started producing them in China and introduced active pickup systems...

If you love electric ukes (such as myself), this certainly is a rare delight.
I am tempted, but I have already impulse purchased 2 Risa electric ukes recently... and I am in Australia... so
