Swapping Waverly string posts from solid to slotted?

Hi,
I want/need to convert some Waverly uke koa buttoned tuners to slotted tuners- just wondering if anyone has swapped Waverly solid posts to waverly slotted posts before.

I cant see why it wouldn't work but thought id ask.

I've not had Waverly's in my hand, but other tuners are pretty standard fair, with the string posts the only difference between the models. And that only on the string anchor end. It wouldn't make any sense from a manufacturing point to change how it mounts and mates to the gear.

Some however can be difficult to get apart. And some really tiny bushings and such between mating surfaces. Don't loose any.

I have done this, and it is a screwdriver job.
