Thank you everyone for the advice on what to get as my next Uke :shaka:

I have an Ohana Vita & Kala pineapple, and wanted something different in tone from these two. Based on the experiences of others here, I decided to go with a Mainland solid Mahogany Concert.

I had a chance to speak with Mike at Mainland and he was helpful and just a nice guy to deal with. Mainland is in Indiana and I live in Chicago so though I only ordered yesterday, it should be in my hands tomorrow :)
I'll post my impressions once I have a chance to get to know her a bit better.

Having found UU, I realized none of my instruments have names!
....I've got to get with the program!

This is the one I'm getting: Concert, Mahogany, Gloss, Silver sealed tuners with MOP buttons. (soprano pictured)

Congratulations! You'll have to tell us what they're like. From the photos I've seen they look really good. I see the UU sell them from their store now too.

Lucky!!

I really want one myself.

I got the Mainland Concert on Wed, and will try to answer the posted questions and give a mini-review this weekend.

I'm not too familiar with them are they China made and US assembled or. . .

I couldn't tell from the site.

What do they compare to brand and model wise?

They are made in China (like most ukes today),we do the final set-up in the states and go over each one carefully before they are sent out.
