I have a friend that owns an original 5K. I'm not sure of the condition, but according to him it is in good condition (no structural damage) minor signs of wear etc. He wants to sell it. I have not idea of what an original goes for, any help/input much appreciated. Gracias.............Howie

I've seen some sell for as little as $8,000.00 and as much as $18,000.00. The market fluctuates though, might check ebay sold page. A call to www.elderly.com might be a good idea too. They sell a lot of instruments, should have a good handle on what it is worth. BTW: I am assuming by "original" you are talking about a vintage one and not one made in the last few years.

I have seen them for $7500 to $11,000 pretty routinely, usually on eBay, typically not selling.

You have a Martin 5k on your signature line, Howie, so I assume you know as much or more than us. :)
