I was going through my stash of wood a while ago looking for some figured Blackwood for bindings. Came across some pieces a mate of mine gave me, saying he wasn't into wood with this much figure.

I had a look at the piece and decided that not only could I get a good amount of bindings, I could also squeeze out a soprano back and side set.

This is what I came up with.

Body - Australian Blackwood
Top - Engelmann Spruce
Rosette - Curly Koa and Abalone
Neck - Spanish Cedar with CF truss rod
Fret Board - Indian Rosewood
Bridge - Indian Rosewood
Bindings - Indian Rosewood
Tuners - Peg Heads
Finish - High Gloss Lacquer

Holy cow, that has to be one of the nicest ukes I've seen in a loooong while. The rosettes you make are getting better and better. (Actually "better" is a very poor word in regards to the recent and very good discussion about perceived quality in builds, but hey English is a second language for me.)
