Hi,

I'm building my first tenor uke and am reaching out to anyone who owns a Kamaka HF3. I have three questions:

1. What is the depth of the sides? 2.75", 2-7/8", 3"?
2. What is the height of the saddle above the soundboard? (i.e., how far above the soundboard are the bottoms of the strings.) 3/8", 1/2"?
3. Looking through the soundhole to the back of the uke, are there 2 or 3 lateral braces on the back?

Thanks!

Brad, who is hippieguy on UU, has one; PM him and he will be glad to answer this for you. :D. He's a cool cat.

The dimensions changed a bit a few years ago. Just try putting a new Kamaka Tenor into an ten year old Kamaka case!

The coconut wireless is paging me. Let me get out a measuring stick...

1. The sides are tapered slightly, but are just shy of 3" at their highest.
2. Saddle is 3/8-ish" off the top.
3. 2 lateral braces.

I thought I was a picky shopper! :)
