Looking to find out what kind of Uke has a small golden pineapple on the headstock... story below

I was given an Ukulele for my birthday one year after my best friend (NY to HI Transplant) had introduced me to the instrument. The Uke was cheap and okay for a starter. Then one year for Christmas my friend gifted me his. Needless to say it was beautiful, it sounded so amazing and the Uke and the case smelled like the wood it was made of. Unfortunately there was an accident that left my beloved Uke burned and subsequently destroyed. I am looking to find the same one as I had before. I have no pictures of it and for the life of me cannot remember what brand it was. It had a beautiful mid tone finish with what seemed like 1/4 inch of clear coat on it. I believe it said a gift from hawaii on the sticker inside. If anyone can help me identify the make of this uke I would be eternally gratefull!

Hmmm, I have not seen a lot of pineapples on the headstock of vintage ukes. Like Phil above suggested, I thought of old Kamaka ukuleles. Here is mine...did it look like this?

If those pictures the others linked aren't the uke, can you tell us anything more? When you got the uke, was it new (and if so, when did you get it)? Can you describe the tuners? Was it a pineapple shape?

Those Kamaka photos are lovely. How sad that you lost it, but I hope you can find another to take its place.
