My approach to modern ukulele playing is derived from my understanding of practical and applied music theory.
I studied the theory of Classical and Jazz music at great depth during my time as a student studying for my 1st Class Honours Degree in Music.
The concept is simple.
I have taken my knowledge of harmony as I apply it to the guitar, and reinterpreted it for the Uke.
In this manner, I am able to play any melody in combination with its underlying harmony and rhythm in any place on the ukulele fretboard.
I can teach this approach to anyone, from its first principles, to its finest detail.
In essence, it is the use of specialized music theory, shapes and technique, the combination of which will give you full freedom on your ukulele.
