I finally scored a 50's Martin soprano...now I know what all the fuss is about and why they are so highly regarded!
Anyway, I'd like to get a nice old hard shell case to keep this little sweetheart in. Anybody got one they want to sell?

Congrats on getting a Martin, they are great.

As a vintage uke guy, I never use vintage cases with my ukes. The bottom line is that modern cases are far superior. I've hardly ever seen a vintage case with any padding, and even my friend's high end case which came with his 30's style 2 martin is something that we just enjoy looking at, but he keeps his uke in a modern hardshell, the old ones just don't compare.

I, too, keep the vintage case for future resale with the ukulele, and otherwise use a modern case. I seldom use a case since they stay at my house, hung on the wall with a simple hook eye in sheet rock and a thin strap, ready for access and playing!

Great, Lakesideglenn. Please do post photos. Each one is different, slightly, and seeing yours here would be wicked cool.

Good advice gentlemen, thanks! Any suggestions for a good new vintage style case that is reasonably priced?
And I will post some pics and a video in the near future CoolKayaker

I just bought one of these for my '50's Style 1 and it fits like a glove:

Thanks Mitch...just ordered one.

Good choice, that is what I use when I take a vintage ukulele out of the house. I am always amazed at how much attention the case gets as opposed to a rare or unique vintage uke! I guess to most people, most ukuleles look pretty much the same!

Yep, that blonde Stagg is the one I use, too.
