Hard to discover new talent on Utube given the volume of videos. Post here link or video of some unknown talent, perhaps not even UUers, who struck you memorably and tell why. :) Videos you stumbled upon, not expecting much, and bam: That was good! Just regular folks, like you and me, posting ukulele videos!

:eek::D

Here are two that struck me as cool and well done. Why? Both come off as just being themselves. Both have good but not super uke skills, and inexpensive instruments. Yet, both have the attitude to pull off superb video performances. They "own" it. (The eyes and smile on the second one didn't hurt. admittedly)

Great use of a guitar pick on a uke!

In the amazing player category: the top four search results here, which are promos my uke instructor did for Cordoba a couple years back.

In the pure joy category: all of Ukurico's YouTube channel. They haven't posted anything new in years, sadly, but what is there is just so happy and exuberant that I still go back to it from time to time.

One of our very own!

Krabbers really impressed me with this his "Too Many Horses" song. I believe it is one he wrote himself and he plays it on a really cool sounding resonator uke! I have had my eye out for a resonator uke ever since. I also practice this song everyday, yet can't seem to come up with that unique Krabbers sound.

It wasn't until I bought my uke that I started to hear just how many times the uke is used in TV ads. So not so much the player as the whole thing here. I'd never heard of this group until I heard the advert on TV.

One young woman who should be making a name for herself soon is Zahra Lowzley. Her Flamenco-inspired style is dazzling. https://www.youtube.com/user/RobynLowzley/videos
Plus, she offers lessons at a scandalously low price of $10/hr.

Other great players, whose names you may or may not be familiar with:
George Elmes (he posts his videos here often): https://www.youtube.com/user/GeorgeUke/videos
The MotherUkers: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbzd9bguSN53Oin2oYKNnPw
Patsy Monteleone: https://www.youtube.com/user/Patsymon/videos (he doesn't post much video, but most of his best recorded stuff is archived here: http://patsymonteleone.wordpress.com/archived-songs/)
Uytae Lee: https://www.youtube.com/user/uytaeanduyseok/videos

This girl would be one of my favorites... Every time I watch one of her videos I can't help but smile.
