1962 VINTAGE Gibson TU-1 Tenor Ukulele w/Original Alligator Case!

This is a 1962 Gibson 'TU-1' ukuele with its original, faux alligator case! The serial number, 55XXX, places the manufacturing date somewhere in 1962. It has a only a few scratches & dings and is in overall EXCELLENT condition for it's age. Very little play wear!

The original faux alligator case is functional but "rough condition" as you would expect from a 50+ year old chipboard case.

This Uke Features:

Solid Mahogany Top & Back
Solid Mahogany Sides
Solid Mahogany Neck
Solid Mahogany Bridge
Rosewood Fretboard
Pearl Dot Inlaid Position Markers
Original Faux Alligator Embossed Case

Please PM with any questions you may have.

More pics upon request.

These do not come up for sale very often...All Original! No Cracks! No Repairs! No Finish Crazing!

$955.00 Shipped CONUS

Agreed - my TU-2 is simply outstanding. Can't beat one of these Gibson tenors, that's for sure.

Agreed! I've owned a TU-1, TU-2, TU-3, and an early five-pin tenor ... and they all were terrific. This is what a vintage mahogany tenor should sound like.

You don't see these come along very often, especially in this condition...and including the original case!!!

jealousy just reared its head! I cannot afford it either! Ugh!!!!!!!

I was just playing my old Gibson ... sweet sweet mahogany sound, rings like a bell!
If I didn't already have one I'd be all over this!
Somebody grab it!
