I have been adapting more and more music by myself, and Microsoft word doesn't give me a satisfying look. Any recommendations on what to get? I would want it to save as an PDF. Also, can I make tabs on Adobe Acrobat? And if I can, how? (I have the Adobe Creative Cloud Package)

I'm not going to recommend it unreservedly as I do find it difficult to work with, but I've nothing specific against it and it does do the job The trial version I've got doesn't export pdf, unfortunately, but there's a newer "try-before-you-buy" option to download available, so nothing to lose if you don't like it.
I use Guitar Pro 6, it's seems quite user friendly. It will create tab with standard notation plus midi & PDFs file & more. You can also import tablEdit files.

and it does a decent job. Can output to PDF (on Mac, at least). Documentation is OK, but you do have to search through web for an answer sometimes. Reasonably priced ($59.97 US) and no upgrade fees ever.
There are other software around. Oh there is a free trial version of TablEdit, and also they provide (free download) TableEdit Viewer so others can read the TableEdit files, although if you make a PDF, you won't need it much.
Power Tab is the one I and a number of people up here use. It is no longer being developed but it works. You input the the tabs and the standard notation is created. There are threads on UU about setup.
Best software? Don't know about that. If it was still being developed it might be. It works and is free.
I have Sibelius 6 pro- It's a very great software but also very big and expensive. It's almost overkill to buy this software (to many features and 723 pages of reference book!) but I love it - you can do what you want in many different ways. It take some weeks to understand the software. Sibelius has also smaller versions like first and student. My doughter has Sibelius student and she has made Big Band arr for 9 different instruments very easy and fast. The thing with Sibelius is that the have different levels and you can upgrade. Also student licences that are very cheep. The suport in Sweden is great. Another software is Guitar PRO 6 - which is half of the price for Siebelius Student. That software is easy to work with but it takes a long time to do tunes. A free software is Power TAB editor that works OK. All these software can import midi files.

I have Sibelius 7.5 and been using it for ukulele sheet music and tabs since version 5. Sibelius First doesn't support ukulele staves, tabs, fretboards. It does for guitars though.
