Playing Heale (Ernest Ka'ai) on 3 old ukes...

First is "La Melodia" Ukulele (made in Mainland around 1917), figured Koa with rope binding.
Then Martin 1K (1919) and third Martin 1M ('60)
All with Living Water strings.

They all sound nice, for sure.

It is crazy that two are almost a century old.

For me I liked the Martin1K, La Melodia and third was the Martin1M. Great playing as usual Val.

Are you a Koa man ? ;-)
I can't decide wich one I prefer, love all of them ;-)

No Koa man at all. In fact, I prefer a mahogany over koa. I agree which one to prefer; they all sound great!
