g'day guys im bout to put a layby down on a pono solid mahogony tenor uke (PTO) i was just wondering what stings i can put on to give it that little bit more hawiiany sound out of it if you know what i mean

Try the flurocarbons from worth or freemont as they are more treble in sound, also pick a re-entrant set rather than a low g set.

But do keep in mind that tenors have a richer sound than sopranos and concerts, and the plinky stereotype of ukes is less common in tenors.
