I am getting a concert resonator and was wondering what some your best sounding go to resonator uke songs are.

I just got a resonator Uke, and I'm enjoying playing a lot of old standards on it, like Ain't Misbehavin', Ain't She Sweet, Puttin' On the Ritz, basically any song with an apostrophe in the title.

Bruce, anything can sound great on a resonator. Blues is good - you do a killer "Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out" anyway, so do that on the resonator.

I'll look forward to it!

Most blues songs work well,as do a lot of old rock and roll
'standards'. It works for a lot of folk songs too, best to just
experiment and see what YOU think works best!

Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions. My first couple of songs that I am doing are:
1: Nobody Knows you when you're down and out (Playing Harmonica with it)
2: Sweet Georgia Brown - really sounds good.

Keep on strumming.........

That sounds great. Once you've learned that, you can also play, though not always at the same tempo, Pink Anderson's Bring It On Home or John Hartford's Boogie or Arlo Guthrie's Alice's Restaurant. If you change the bridge a bit you can play Jada to the same changes. Every time I play it instrumentally, someone will say, "Hey, isn't that ______?" I'll say, "Well, that wasn't what I was trying to play, but I guess it works."
