I took a flyer on this uke late one night when I was in one of those moods -- you know the kind I mean -- and I just don't find myself reaching for it very much. But it’s a nice player with a roadworn charm. The wood has a lovely glow. This one’s got soul.

To be honest, I don’t know a lot about it. Here’s what the guy who sold it to me posted in the original listing, and there have been no changes in its condition since then. (I’ve only owned it since mid-June.) I’ve updated his description with the small amount of new information I’ve been able to find.

1930s Harmony ukulele (Based on the decal, I think it more likely dates to the 1940s, but I don’t know that for sure. The decal is relatively uncommon among the many Harmonys that turn up on eBay.)
Minor hairline cracks on both shoulders have been repaired
Glue joints, top and bottom shoulders have been repaired
Original barrel tuners, possibly Grovers
New strings (They sound like Aquilas to me.)

Is it scuffed up a bit? Sure. But it’s an honest little ukulele that the right buyer will enjoy. $69 inc. shipping to CONUS only.
