It's laminate, I saw it on the Elderly web site
Kala has a nice laminated acacia bodied model with a solid cedar top for less money.

Well it depends. Kala actually did a special run on some solid koa ukuleles. They bought the stock of wood from laravee. However those Ukes were few and were sold a few years ago. Other than that the koa kala uses is laminates.

Those are good sounding Ukes too.
