Hi all,

I've finally got most if the wood I need and am getting ready to make my templates and jigs. I'll be documenting the build on here, so stay tuned for updates!

Thanks

Here's a picture of the wood:
Top- Englemann spruce
Back and sides- Claro walnut
Fingerboard- Indian rosewood

Oops I forgot to update! Anyway, I've made a simple form and I've also glued the top and back together (pictures attached).
Next, I'll be thicknessing the wood, but I've run into a problem. I bought a Stanley #4 plane from Amazon, and the chipbreaker is screwed on incredibly tight. I can't even move it! Anyone know how to get it to budge?

Never mind about the pictures. I'm having trouble uploading them for some reason (you can find them on my blog if you'd like).

Ok, I've solved my plane problem and I'm going to sharpen today. Hopefully I can start thicknessing today, too. On that note, what thickness am I aiming for? I've got Englemann spurce top and claro walnut back and sides. The wood is about 1/8" right now.

Thanks!
