Hi All,
My new Kamaka was sounding horrible, so I decided to find the "Right Sound". I purchased numerous strings in re-entrant (high G); Southcoast LMU's, Fremont Blackline Med., Oasis brights, Hilo black nylons, Living Water, Aquila New Nylguts, Martin M600, and Worth Brown BL's.
IN my humble opinion, the Worth's were bright and clear. They really stood out. Matin's, Aquila's and Living Water strings were okay.
Only my opinion, so all users of aforementioned strings, this is not a slam on them. It's just what works for me on my particular ukulele.
Good luck with your search.
