Broke my own rule and purchased a Martin C1 K without playing or hearing it. I'm glad I did. Fabulous ukulele. All solid Koa. One piece (not book matched) top and back, hardly a curl but pretty anyway. The barest smear of lacquer for an ultra flat finish, but ultra responsive sound. Smells wonderful. Yes, it's made in Mexico but the craftsmanship is precise and clean inside and out. Blows away my Ukebrand Concert.
