My fourth ukulele, concert size, 15" scale. Huon pine body, Australian red cedar neck with Spanish heel, gidgee (Australian dry country acacia) fingerboard, bridge and head overlay. Tortoise celluloid binding. Pegheads tuners and an oil finish. Total weight 355gm /12.5 oz.
That is a fantastic looking uke. I love concert ukes with pegheads, they look so much better than geared tuners. Lovely choice of woods and great looking headstock
Excellent as always Graham. I read on your website that you were introducing a new line of ukes. Is this the direction you are going in or just doing some experimenting?
Still playing around with ideas for sopranos and concert size ukes using mostly Australian timbers and working out how I want to put them together. Currently having a first go at rope binding which is intriguing and using that on the next couple of concerts.
