I'm ready to make the bridge for my second Favilla teardrop style soprano and I'd like to use some bloodwood left over from my fretboard. I have noticed, though that it is a very oily wood and was wondering how well it would adhere to the top. Has anyone else used bloodwood for this purpose and, if so, what glue did you use?
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I think there's a chance for it not holding but if you really degrease the contact areas, I don't see why it wouldn't work. Acetone works great for greasy woods. That's what I use for laminating Osage which is very oily.

Thanks for your advice, dismount. I did some googling and although there were other reasons people gave for not using bloodwood, none of them mentioned a gluing problem so I'm still considering it.
