A short tune I came up with on my Ukulele one morning. Has some flaws, but done on the first and only take after just waking up ;) Played on a Tenor capo'd at the second fret.
Just put some Worth brown BS-LG 63 strings on my Kala tenor for the first time. I had Living Water strings on it before which I really like. First impressions of the Worth strings are: Slightly louder (I know I've no way of comparing this but acoustically it seems a little louder when strummed). Slightly fuller mids to upper mids making them sound a little more rounded than the Living Water's. First hour's impression is good, I loved the Living Water, like these too so far. It's a hello from Fidget the Cat too :-) https://www.dropbox.com/s/zgrbc9rpugg10sm/Aloha%20Oe.mp4?dl=0 Sorry, didn't realise I stick my tongue out so much when concentrating...
nice ukulele arrangement by seadrop played on an ashbury concert, low G composed by John Towner Williams
Hello, I had a video deleted from YouTube recently. I did a version of Let's Get Lost which obviously I didn't write. In it I assumed the persona of Elvis Jagger also known as my real name. I did so in the vein of Elvis Costello. I thought it was funny. Anyway it stayed on YouTube and got close to 800 views. Today I find that it disappeared because I violated terms of service though I never received notice to that effect. I only found that I had violated service by googling the video. What puzzles me is that there are many amateur videos of this song on YouTube. When I chose the name Elvis Jagger I had no idea that there was also some cartoon character out there called Elvis Jagger Abdul something or other. Any thoughts or guidance...
Kala u-bass, Vorson electric, Kala concert uke, & that prince of instruments, the Stylophone:
Hotel California I'm not that good at strumming but it's something. Thanks again spookelele
I thought I'd try the same piece on the two ukes in my house. I can't say 'my ukes' because one is my son's. .. First on my Tanglewood concert
Here's a song about Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province, a city which I affectionately call "the as*hole of China". With some guitar and backup vocals help from a Chinese friend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crMmN898YIM The sound quality kinda sucks and we didn't prepare for this, just a lazy afternoon recording. Lyrics: It’s just the start of the four smoking seasons And I’ve got all the serious reasons To believe that the world’s gonna end, To believe that the world’s gonna end Tonight. Plastic trees without flowers or scent, Birds are flying through clouds of cement And the workers are building a hole, And the workers are building a hole In the sky. People drip through the veins of the city, Sweeping sidewalks a girl...
Hello to everyone! I'd like to show you my ukulele and clarinet duo :) Hope you like it!
I've seen this guy somewhere before, just can't put my finger on it...:) As he asks in the song "what's this all about?" Maybe an inside joke? I'm trying to figure out who the Jeremy is that he is imitating. Love that song though, just learned it today, might try it at an open mic next week. The song sounds old, but I see see it was written by Amos Lee in 2006.
He's a great singer having fun with his new acquisition. https://youtu.be/9k-8cyUtMJo
Saw this one on UkeTube. Is this an old song? I tried Googling, but keep coming up with a Sam Smith song. A catchy little number!

Saw this one on UkeTube, guy does a great cover of this sweet tune. What's that uke? Tone is very bright and clear, distinctive took too. 14 frets to the body, is that considered a long neck soprano?
I've always loved this song and sing it to my wife often. I put this video together for her on our 4th anniversary. Enjoy! http://youtu.be/1PgUWZeeHEQ
