Another album from my youth, i remember Chop Suey been blasted on Kerrang TV like crazy. Then they released toxicity single and s** really hit the fan. Of i go to HMV to get the album and i pull out my CD Walkman (2001) on the bus home. My ears are immediately melted when i hear that opening "DUHMM"...."DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM D D D D D D!!!!!!!" of Prison Song and it quickly becomes one of the albums of my childhood. To honour this i wanted to learn it on my ukulele, i knew it was going to be a fun project as Daron Malakian guitar playing is so melodic. Hope you enjoy and if any uke players out there would like the tabs/chords, just leave a comment down below :) Please Subscribe for more albums on ukulele in...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q95C-9M0Jw&feature=youtu.be If you have not heard of Sixto Rodriguez "The Sugar Man" you should watch the documentary SUGAR MAN. It is an incredible story about Sixto who didn't sell a single album in the U.S. but sold millions of albums in South Africa of all places. He was ripped off by the music industry and never even knew he was famous. He lives in Detroit and as of the making of the documentary a few years ago he still walked the sidewalks of his neighborhood in Detroit. I am using a collaboration software via the web and was experimenting on how well it works for doing a video. AMAZING story...and this is my homage to the original Sugar Man.
New to the forums, a friend referred me to this site a while ago; I got no one in the area who rocks out like I (try to) do. Trying to find like minded people who aim to push for reverbs and other shenanigans with a uke. I'm using an 8 string Oscar Schmidt with a dinky amp I picked up from a thrift shop. This is an Original Jam, I value any and all opinion. Thank you for your time, Rai.D.
I was prompted by video reviews and Seasons vid's to get my own way of making a video. I got some software, a condenser mic, and a Web cam and have mostly figured out how to do it, but... What formats are used? My web cam is a little slow and it seems that the frame rate will be pretty low, and 640X480 seems to be it's limit. But I got a mic that seems to be pretty good and the sound is I think good, no one wants to see me in living color anyway. I may update my webcam to a better one but not right away. I've tried recording in .avi, and Mp4 and ogv. Mp4 seems to be pretty pixilated but .avi and .ogv seem to work out okay. And how to putmy vid's up on UU? It seems like a lot of you use yu tube, but not all? Any suggestions...

Hey everyone - Does anyone know what software they use to make that animation of the fretboard in the play-a-longs? It would be so handy to create videos of it for other music I am learning. Thanks in advance... Damien
Played on my son's Spongebob soprano, not at all bad! Its made by a company thats owned by JHS, who also own the Vintage brand

This is a lovely song for ukulele but the transition from C to E7 is a twister
Inspired by Brudda IZ I made an attempt on the song. Very basic so far, I hope to do the whole song after some practuce sessions. I practice songs every day, as much as I can.
Another cover in my car, waiting for my child ;) Sorry for my baaaaad english ^^' Chords and lyrics there : http://emmanuel.famillelopez.fr/blog/2016/03/16/technotronic-pump-up-the-jam/ Enjoy !
Dream a Little Dream, first attempt, just the first verse. Not as easy as it sounds! I used my camera on its tripod this time.
Start off with C chord and with each strum drop the root note by one.
Hi! I hope you like our cover of "Puttin' on the ritz"!
I did this a while ago, its about where I'm at with the uke, a few chords and strum. (I also did a finger picking version too)
Take one uke and let four different players strum it... What do you think?
